Question:

Straightener Plate melted/burnt?

hello i have a hair straightener and i use a cream in my hair that helps straighten my hair and smoothening it out and keeping it shinyMy problem is the plates on my straightener are constantly burning and a layer has completely burnt off, i am going to buy a chi and was wondering if it was the straghtener or the cream i usei need to know before i buy a chi so i don't ruin that one too

Answer:

Get some pictures you can look at for your designsTake your chicken wire and start to fold it over something roundish, maybe a pillow or couch cushion (wrap plastic over it so as not to rip the material) keep forming it according to your pic and squish (that's an artistic technical term, lol) it together at areas underneath, (don't forget to remove the pillow), tie it off with string or bread ties, etcto hold it together and attach the top to the stem, then mache it allLet dry inbetween layers'Hope this helps you.
use chicken wire to get the basic form cover the wire with strips of newspaper coated with wheat pasteonce it is dry you can paint them with latex paint
Hmm, I'm just wondering if your straightener's plates had a ceramic coating on top, and it eventually just melted off after prolonged useFind a straightener that has ceramic plates, not just plates that are metal with a ceramic coating and see if the issue persists with the new straightener.
