My transmission fluid hose busted.engine won‘t shift forward. Is the tranny blown? OR just a hose problem? I just had the transmission fluid flushed about a week ago, is there a relation to the blown hose? Once it blew, I didn‘t drive it too far before it wouldn‘t shift into gear.
The transmission works off of fluid. Since the hose leaked out fluid, this is probably why your car won't go anymore. Once you replace the hose and put more fluid in it it should be fine. Continuing to drive without fluid in a transmission can potentially damage it. There's not way to tell how much damage you did to yours.you'll just have to put a hose on it and fluid in it and hope for the best. Yes, there is a strong likelihood that this problem is related to your recent transmission flush. Most flushes are accomplished by removing the transmission cooler lines and hooking them up to a machine that flushes the old fluid out and the new fluid in. It sounds as if the technician may have failed to tighten the hose back up or damaged the hose during the flushing process.
