It won;t harm anything if that is what you mean. As longas the bike has enough clearence for the broader tire it is good enough. Actually most BMX riders do put a much wider tire on the front.
You probably could, but that would lead to your tires wearing out MUCH faster because of the weight imbalance you are putting on them. The smaller tires would go super fast because they are taking on the most abuse, but the bigger tires would get worn out in the inner area (more towards the brakes) because of the weight imbalance.
