Question:

Suspiciously short cycle time for Bosch front loader on Cottons setting?

I have a new Bosch WAE20261AU front loading washing machine. The durations given for the quot;Cottons Stainsand quot;Cottons Ecowashes are over 2.5 hours, yet if just select quot;Cottons(which the manual doesn't give a duration for) it only takes 46 minutes. It seems suspiciously short, and the manual doesn't tell me anything about it at all - can this be correct? Will it be washing properly? Can anyone point me to more information on this? Several hours on Google have given me nothing! Thanks!Julie

Answer:

It could be OK. A regular wash in a front loader can be anywhere from 45-65 minutes. I would imagine if you choose a high temperature the cycle is longer (european machine). Check that there is not an automatic short cycle button that is always on unless you take it off.
