Taking a protein shake before bed?

I hear it is good to do this when trying to gain muscle, but i dont know exactly when, before bed as in drnik it then go straight to bed or drink it 30mins before bed or 1 hour??How long before bed do you need to drink it, thanks.

Drink it within an hour before a workout, and within 30 minutes after a workout. Before bed is unimportant. Best time to drink a protein shake is within 30 minutes after a workout.
If you work out late evening take a shake at least an hour after your workout ,then eat a meal for dinner,before your workout take your shake 45 minutes before you workout,early morning drink your shake with your breakfast. Just remember you`re feeding your lean muscle mass,so if you`re taking in to much protein you will store it as fat so be careful and good luck.
