Question:

Termites are rich in iron?

do you know where i can find sources of the science fairs or researches conducting for proving or extracting iron in termites?me and my group wants to exctract an iron from a termitedo you know how?please state your source/sthank you in advance!

Answer:

Termites are a rich source for iron in the diet, but to extract iron from insects as a source of iron itself would cost far more than just extracting the iron from the ground! If you just want to extract it to prove it's there measure it, then use this redox reaction experiment (using the termites instead of tablets, of course!) . www.academic.marist.edu/jfjp/che. Good luck!
