the unite for NE is Hanks/lb example 10/1 is 10 hanks/lb ok so the original sweater is made w/ 10/1 the new material is either 10/2 or 50/2 u convert it to common denominator then is either 5/1 or 25/1 so the 50/2 is going to be the finer i would recommend 50/2, because its a finer thread thus thinner sweater, in terms of thickness
