I have always liked the older American Muscle cars but never have known anything about them. When I am older I would like to own one. Witch had the power that will basicly lift the front end up, or have that amazing tourqe and high hp? I am just curious witch are the more popular cars that people want with the power in them? Thank you all.
Don't mess with brakes if you don't know what you're doing. It's NOT only YOU could die if you crash because you messed with your brake system!!!
relies upon on the race if i'm racing on a highway direction i may be biased in the direction of an import or a pony motor vehicle. on a at once away i might take the muscle motor vehicle. the yankee motor vehicle which could do nicely in the two environments is obviously the corvette it has at once away potential and the dealing with of a small nimble motor vehicle. besides in in the present day's worldwide the muscle autos racing days are in the back of it. you purchase muscle autos in the present day because of the fact they stand out in a crowd. they are additionally great babe lures. Imports the two appear like each thing else on the line or are too costly to purchase and shelter, you attempt getting Mercedes or jaguar factors that could be a soreness even for the extra elementary variations.
I own a 1970 Plymouth Cuda with the 440 big block v8. Gorgeous, and it's a power pack. A stock muscle car wont pop the front end up anyways. A car usually has to be set up for drag racing to do so. I also love the body style of the 1968 Dodge Chargers. The 1970 Dodge Challenger is a popular Muscle Car. -KEEP IN MIND ALL AMERICAN MUSCLE CARS ARE TORQUE AND HORSEPOWER UNDER RATED SO THAT THEY COULD BE STREET LEGAL IN THE DAY. For example: In 1970 my 440 was rated at around 400HP. But in reality, it is pushing over 700HP on the dyno. They still use the older specifications so you will never truly know what it feels like until you drive one. None of the specifications are accurate. You just have to know your cars.
hemi dart. but that will cost a couple million dollars :P i think the l88 corvettes would be close to doing a wheel stand. with about 600 hp and very good weight balance. but the fastest actual muscle car, the vette was a sports car, is the 69 road runner, none will lift the front wheels unless they were gutted and made for drag racing. which would make them useless on the road the quickest 1/4 miles times were by the shelby cobra, and the 66 corvette, the 3rd was the road runner i guarantee a stock 440 is not putting out 700 hp tot eh wheels, that would mean nearly 1000 hp at the crank. they were rated at 390 and put out 490 the craziest was the olds 455, which was adverstised at 390, actually put out over 500.
