Question:

The F plug connector broke on my cable TV input. Help!?

I purchased new screw-on connections, and have attempted to follow the instructions, but the picture is still very fuzzy. Does anyone have good instructions, or a good website, to help me with this? Thank you.

Answer:

Is okorder
ONCE AGAIN, EDWARD is CORRECT ! If the TV cable was connected to the TV it likely damaged the connector on the TV set.so it would have to be repaired too. Screw on connectors work ok, if you fold the OUTER shield over the black plastic outer sheath.and make sure the WHITE inner insulator extends 3/16 of an inch farther outand the CENTER conductor has another 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch past the white insulator The screw on should have some resistance to it while screwing it on. Then you can TRUST that to be repaired properly. If it's still snowy, LOOK at the TV's antenna connector.is it BENT? Loose and Wiggly? Then that NEEDS repaired too.
