Answer:
Tacky, tacky tacky and very low classDon't do itIF you want to save money than just go for coffee and wedding cake sort of reception and drop the meal entirelyPotluck means having guests bring a dish to the receptionOooooo Girl NooooJust No.
You write: He seems to want to caterMy advice? Listen to your fiance A wedding reception is a thank you to your guests a thank you for attending your wedding and a thank you for the loving and caring you've received from them throughout the yearsKinda tacky and makes one look like a bad hostess to make the guests do all the workIf you truly feel you cannot afford a caterer? Then serve cake and punch at a non-meal timeA 2pm wedding followed by a 3pm cake-and-punch reception would be perfectly fine.
Unless you are having a very small wedding with just immediate family, I think asking your guests to bring food to your wedding is rather rudeThe point of the reception is for you your new husband to thank them for coming and sharing in your wedding day and give them some food refreshments not to be your caterers since you want to do it on the cheapThere are ways to cut costs, but I don't think it is appropriate to ask people to bring food - a wedding is not a church covered dish supper!
I can see both your pointsYour fiance wants catered because it's really rude to ask people to bring a potluck dish - and expect them to bring a gift as well You, on the other hand, think it's great for family and friends to share their favorite recipes and fellowshipHow about a compromise: Cater the wedding reception - but maybe your engagement party could be a jack/jill affair with everyone bringing their favorite dish - and the recipe for it so you can collect them together in an album so you can treasure each dish - and the person who made it.
Q1 1) Sevendust 2) Metallica 3) Hollywood Undead 4) Linkin Park 5) Nickelback (because I don't listen to any of those) 6) Three Days Grace (but I like BB a lot) 7) Korn 8) Papa Roach 9) System of a Down (toughie) 10) Ozzy Osbourne (the others are legends, but I'm just into Ozzy) 11) Green Day 12) Evanescene 13) Lil Wayne (did you seriously spell Gucci Mane goochie? And LG isn't a dudethat was a rumor, grow up!) Q2 Adele or Daniel Murillo Q3 New Divide - Linkin Park Q4 Hollywood Undead - Glory Hollywood Undead - Young Kid Rock - Warrior 3 Doors Down - Citizen/Soldier Q5 I have no idea what you mean Q6 I don't smoke but I got a beer.
