I have spent the last three hours searching the internet for an answer to my essay topic, Discuss the arguments of Jefferson and Hamilton for and against the constitutionality of the Bank of the United States.So far I have only found that their view on the interpretation of the constitution was different, but I can not figure out where in the constitution, the bank would be illegal.Please help if you can. You answered your own question. The bank is not mentioned in the Constitution, so then why would the government think it has the power to create one? The Constitution lays out exactly what Congress has the power to pass laws regarding, and what powers it has, while it does not mention anything about a bank.
