hey so I was thinking about starting up ceramic painting as a hobby (pretty sure thats what its called) My grandma did it and she‘s made some really beautiful things that have been around my dad‘s house for as long as I can remember. Anyways what I‘m talking about here is where you buy the plain white piece and then paint it yourself. My only question is what it really would take to start a hobby like this in terms of buying the paints and brushes and anything else you might need. and what are the kinds of paints you should be using and all that. it‘s always interested me and now that I‘m almost done with school i would have time to do it.
This Site Might Help You. RE: What kind of wire do we use for mobile home to power pole? We are preparing to wire our mobile home. We need to know what gauge and type of wire we use to go from the house itself to the power pole please.
the previous answer was from a moron if you are talking about your underground feeds from a disconnect on a pole, you will need to run #2 URD quad for 100 amp service, or 0000 URD quad for a 200 amp service, you must have a ground rod driven in ground by main disconnect on outside pole, and all ground wires must be seperated from neutral wires in panel inside mobile home, direct burial cable must be burried 24 inches deep and sleeved in schedule 80 conduit when exiting the ground and entering the disconnect, if you are running the wire above the ground under the mobile home when it passes the skirting, it needs to be sleeved in either ridged or flexible conduit to prevent damage by rodents. to tell you the truth, if you dont understand what i just wrote, then you shouldnt attempt this yourself, call a professional, its not worth burning your family in their sleep to save a few bucks. REVISED if your calling your RV a mobile home, then you probly need a to bury 10-2 with ground UF and feed it with a single pole thirty amp breaker, and on the pole install a 30 amp 120 volt recepticle with a weatherproof in use cover, thats what most campgrounds use
we have to run the wire 150 feet . Would #2-2-2-4 still be ok for 100 amp box
Ceramics is considered a fired art and you will need a kiln or know someone who does. Look in the yellow pages for some one who teaches art classes. You can also go on line and type in ceramics and fired arts exhibits or shows coming to your area. They usually sell fired pieces for you to take home and paint. They also sell supplies or have a list of people who teach classes. Local colleges also have classes on fired arts which is a really big area. ***** Blick, Micheals and other hobby stores sell all types of clay for you to sculpt but many also need a kiln. Hand painted porcelain is just one area of fired arts and with that you use a media called China Paint. China painting is what I love to do, it involves painting flowers on plates, tea sets, jewelry any porcelain piece. This is the type of painting found on antique porcelain dolls. This type of painting takes more artistic skill and classes are required.
