I'm making a bear for my daughter for ChristmasThis is my first stuffed animalI'm using worsted weight yarnI started with an H hook, but the stuffing is coming out the stitchesI'm going to switch to an F, but how else can I make the stitches tight enough to not leak stuffing?
put them on greaseproof paper then pop in fridge do not use foil they will stick!!
put them in the fridge till u want to eat them, they will harden.
umm put it in the fridge at the very top where its the coldest
Also try using very cold strawberries - it will help cool the chocolate from the inside.it works very well.
If you aren't using a pattern, one tip is to always use single crochet, not doubleOtherwise, what you are doing is correct: the smaller the needle, the tighter the stitchesMake up a swatch with the yarn and needles you intend to use and see if there are holes large enough for stuffing to peek throughAdditional thoughts: -Amigurumi (stuffed animals) tends to work better with a cellulose fiber such as cotton which doesn't have a lot of stretch instead of an animal fiber like wool, or a synthetic wool like acrylic-Felting or fulling can be used to make a very tight fabric that even water has difficulty passing throughYou simply knit in wool a few sizes too large, then intentionally shrink it in the washing machine and dry thoroughly before stuffing and seaming shut(Note: cotton does not felt/full-it must be wool for this technique)
