Question:

Tips for making gross foods pallet-able?

Sometimes I will find myself in a situation where I am eating with people who cook food that is not culturally native to my area. What are some tips for not insulting people and making the food taste a bit more pallet-able? I especially have this problem if it is texture. I found myself eating a goat and it was cooked very fatty and with a lot of grease, I am also not a big fan of dark meat.

Answer:

Urban Decay Naked 3 or Chanel Tisse Rivoli Quad. I get a lot of compliments on Urban Decay Naked Smoky though, looks great w glasses! I think you can't go wrong w a Chanel quad. They are $61 for 4 shades but you can wet them too so it looks different. I also like the Too Faced Sweet Peach/Choc Bar/Bonbons/semisweet/PBJ palettes all awesome this sounds crazy but I have an 144 elf palette neutral ev brown, beige, brick, grey, cream, Peach, etc shade ever conceived. They come out w the big palettes during the holidays. The elf palette works good w primer for $15 getting 144 shades can't beat that variety decent quality they are just dryer so you wet your brush. I find BH Cosmetics also really good for budget. Caveat emptor!!
NYX Cosmetics, Makeup Revolution, Sleek Makeup, MUA Makeup Academy, W7, Morphe, Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, City Color Cosmetics, Maybelline, L'Oreal, Bourjois, all have great palettes at very budget friendly prices.
Anastasia of Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance and Mario palettes are both great. Urban Decay Naked palettes are good but there are a lot of glittery shades that I don't use. I really like the UD Ultimate basics - all matte and great for creasework, blending, etc. Avoid Morphe - cheap crap that doesn't blend and the colors look muddy.
I would have to say out of all the drugstore eyeshadow palletes, that the N.Y.C demi pallet, eyeshadows the texture is smoothest and blends very nicley for 6 bucks can't beat that. The other option that would be good are BH cosmetics eyeshadow palletes, foiled eyeshadow pallete is duped for the makeup geek foiled eyeshadows and some the colors on the BH palletes are quite relatable to alot the more expensiver palletes like Kat Von D and Morphe. Then last option I really recommend would be Milani Eyeshadows.
Too Faced is one of my all-time favorites. Great pigment, great colors and it stays on all day with no fall-out. I have Urban Decays original naked palette and don't get me wrong, I love it, but there is some fallout with the matte shades. Huda Beauty has a gorgeous rose gold palette with great pigment. Kylie Cosmetics's burgundy palette is a favorite of mine, but the orange one isn't the greatest. I haven't tried out the newest edition (the holiday one) but I hear it's really good. None of those are over $70 but if you'd still like some cheaper ones, I know a few. Drugstore palettes are often a hit or miss. I have the Maybelline blushed nudes palette ($10) and I don't like it. Most of the shades are identical, there's very little pigment and the formula is off. I also have the makeup revolution (can get at Ulta) run boy run palette (also $10) and it's great! So much pigment, especially in the shimmer shades. In the palette, you get 12 shimmers and 6 mattes. Although the matte shades lack a little pigment, it is still worth the buy. Finally, morphe is a great option, especially if you're in the US and don't have to pay as much for shipping. You get a lot of professional shades for a cheap price.
