Question:

Tips on preforming at Lincoln Center?

I'm preforming at Lincoln Center today and I want to know, do any of you guys have tips to preform better? I'm only in 13th grade playing in an orchestra full of high school students. I'm nervous as anything. I have 3rd chair, so I don't have the pressure of 1st chair.

Answer:

13th Grade? Preforming? I would suggest furthering your education first. Are you foreign? There is no such thing as 13th grade in the US. Here it would be a freshman in college or university, and in most European countries as well. Professional theater people worry about people who are not well-rounded and educated. Present yourself better and use spelling check software until you master the English language better.
Just focus on playing a good concert and don't let your mind dwell on the fact that of where you are performing. You'll be fine!
