inexperienced young kids shouldn't be handling a snake to where they could easily get bitten in the face. if you go and put safety glasses on the child then you are going to freak the child out about snakes. if a young kid is handling a snake there should always be an adult present, the child should be sitting down and being taught the proper way to handle the snake. me personally any child that has never handled a snake before i wouldn't let them handle anything other than a ball python or a corn snake or kingsnake (even then it depends on the kingsnake)
