transmission fluid is very important in automatics. without it you won,t move and it keeps the bands and clutches lubed up. don,t let it get too low and watch you don,t overfill it.
You have to have transmission fluid in your transmission for it to operate properly and to be properly lubricated. There is a dipstick under the hood, much like the oil stick, to check the level of the transmission fluid. It should be marked as transmission fluid only.
