Question:

Transmission Flush for 2004 galant?

I brought my car from a deal with 31000 miles in November 2007 on it and now the dealer is telling me I need a transmission flush, which cost $300. I am still under warranty with this dealership. Also my fluid is a black color. Is this a fluid or just an ordinary transmission fluid change? Also does anyone know a good mechanic place where I can get a quality job done if I need a transmission flush. I am in NYC.my car now has 43535 milesThanks a lot

Answer:

by no skill do a transmission flush. It loosens the gunk interior the backside of the transmission and after the replenish that stuff will reason all varieties of problems. That first guy would not be attentive to what he's speaking approximately. Do the drop the pan, exchange the clear out, close each thing up with a sparkling pan gasket after which fill w/ sparkling fluid.
Cold weather! You can always bundle up, but in hot weather, you can strip to the skin and you're STILL hot.
hot weather ice cream and ice cold sodaaa :D
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT Flush a transmission, it's a bad idea, ALWAYS it is okay to drain the transmission and replace the filter, but flushing it is always a bad idea. first of all, the last car that was hooked to this transmission flushing machine was probably on it's last leg, so you're getting all that debris in your transmission.BAD second of all, there is nowhere in any factory shop manual that says a transmission needs flushed, EVER. IF (and only if) the dealer does the work under warranty, AND warrants their work to say the transmission will be without error for at least 2 years you MIGHT let them try it. otherwise I'd absolutely walk away.
