Question:

transmission overdrive?

can an overdrive issue cause my transmission to shut down?

Answer:

I have had many more people ask me to replace their PVC pipes with copper or pex, as opposed to the opposite. However, you may do as you wish, just make sure your hot water lines are ran in CPVC, not PVC. And as far as pex piping goes, it is cheaper when doing a new install, not when you are doing a remodel. These are two totally different prices. Good luck.
yes they are less costly , lasting longer , holding temperature for longer time . and very hard to damage , im happy with them .
dude copper is gonna last a lot longer than pvc. pvc is the cheap stuff people use when they don't want to spend a lot of money. unless you have a leak and don't know how to fix it, then don't do it. and it's not hard to fix a leak in copper pipe either. if you use pex pipe, you're gonna spend as much on fittings as you would on all your pvc pipe.
Depends on what model. If the clutch pack for 3 or 4 is burnt, or the overdrive band is burnt, it will put clutch/metal shavings all through transmission and it will soon be due for an overhaul. This material can clog passages in the valve body, case, and other components. Check your fluid with a white napkin to see if there is excessive clutch material or metal shavings in the fluid.
