Answer:

I wouldn't doubt it. My brother wore a Spiderman costume over his clothes every day when he was two or three. And cowboy boots. In public.
My sister dresses her daughter in princess dresses a lot because she looks so adorable in them. But not every day. She's 2 years old. And my 4 year old nephew likes to dress up like Spiderman. He looks pretty cool in a Spiderman costume. He's actually gone out in public wearing it once. Everybody thought it was cute. He doesn't wear the head part though. He says he can't see with it, and besides, if he did, you wouldn't be able to see his cute little face. XD I don't have a girl. I only have a boy. Hopefully one day I'll have a girl, and she most definately will wear a princess dress at least once a week, and for the rest of the week, she can wear regular dresses and bows and anything else frilly and cutsie that I can find. lolz I did put my son in a dress once. But nobody saw him but me. And I did it to pick on him because he wouldn't stop whining. I told him, Stop acting like a sissy or I'll start dressing you like one. He didn't stop whining so he got to wear a dress for a few minutes. And it worked. Now whenever he whines, I ask him if he wants to be a little girl, and he immediately stops. lol
You probably just haven't noticed them before. Keep an eye out for them next time you go out, and I'm sure you'll see more.
I would personally use a full cheek French link snaffle. My 13hh welsh cob is very very headstrong and one on him, he's very forward going and if you don't have constant contact with his mouth he'll do what ever he wants to do and you can half halt all you like but he will still carry on until he gets the picture that you're angry with him for taking off. By the way, anything without a joint is a curb bit. Don't use something strong on him because it will just make his mouth harder and harder.
My daughter has a dress up box filled with all sorts of stuff, from princess dresses, old slips, a boa, tiaras, firefighter hat, etc. I am never the one who dresses her in it, though. It is strictly her. When the mood strikes her, she gets all gussied, and that's what she is wearing. Whether it's for lunch at home, the playground, errands, whatever. If we're going to the playground, I do a safety check to make sure it's not so long that she'll trip over the skirt, but otherwise, what the heck, right? Sometimes she's in a dress up outfit all week, naps and all, sometimes its a one day affair. Sometimes it's regular clothes with a thousand necklaces or a tiara. It's all about fun and imagination!
