What are the possible ways I could use to finish my chair.. oil, varnish, ...? and what are the advantages of each of them, are they cheap, etc?
maybe you should try semi-gloss which is easy to clean.
I would not use oil since it could ruin someones clothes. Varnish or Poly is best. Shellac turns yellow with time. All cost about the same.
