some additives will cause deposits and bumps and gray stuff to adhere to the plug tips yes i never use nay additives in my vehicles, as everything needed is already in the pump gas most additives are gimmicks/marketing crap for noobs who dont know much about engines etc. and can harm your 02 sensors and cat converter
Hello.ive tried MANY name brand fuel additives and no most of them do not leave any deposits on the plugsmy fave to use is lucas and sea foam.but remember lucas fuel treatment is mainly upper cyl lube.i use it with every tank of gas.i only use sea foam in a car that has suspected fuel issues like stuck injectors and so oncan also be used to keep engine clean every 6 months.oil additives are another story though.restore is bs never use it.not only does it put deposits all over your plugs.which on my bros truck it left so much crap on the plugs that 2 of them were completly shorted.the effects of it only last 100 miles if you are lucky.
