Question:

My Smoke Detector just beeped three times?

The smoke alarm just beeped three times then paused, and then did it again and then stopped. The light is still green, and it hasn't gone off in about ten minutes. I don't think that it's the batteries, because it isn't the same noise. What does the noise mean? Could it be a power surge?

Answer:

Water is not a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen, it is a compound made from oxygen and hydrogen. During a combustion of hydrogen the hydrogen atoms are oxidised while the oxygen atoms in turn are reduced. The product of this reaction is water. The bonds formed in a water molecule are stable so it could not react further. This is why water could not combust.
Put out the fire if it's in the cabin area. Otherwise, secure the cabin areas. Secure the passengers in their seats. Prepare passengers for a crash, if forthcoming. Keep everyone calm. Assist the injured. Evacuate the plane upon landing.
