I am beginning to craft various home furnishings using Wooden pallets, I am crafting furniture such as shelves, tables and benches. I am aware that many of these Wooden pallets contain harmful chemicals such as Methyl bromide. My main questions are; how do I identify if my wooden pallets contain harmful chemicals and if they do am I able to put paint and wood varnish over the pallet to stop these harmful chemicals, or will it varnishing the wood make no difference?
