Hi There!I have a rocking chair that was my great great grandmothers. It is in very good condition and I would like to know the value of it. We estimate that it is from the late 1800s or early 1900s, possibly older. Thank you!

Find a licenced Appraiser in Your area. Might cost You a few dollars but then You know where You stand. There are Appraisers on-line who will charge You $30.00 but how can You appraise something You have never seen ?I would stay away from Them and anyone else like the Experts? at the Flea Markets and local shops Never sell to a Appraiser as They have been known to tell You that it's worth $50 buy it from You and resell for $500.Remember ,These persons are out there to make a buck and You are the Person whom they make it off of.
That is not 200 years. And the value will depend a good deal on the maker. If it was from a small production craftsman it could be worth several hundred. If from a large furniture factory it could be worth firewood. Also if it has been refinished. That detracts from the value. But of course condition is a huge factor. Can you find any manufacturers name or other marking to authenticate the age? The style gives clues but some popular styles were and are produced for a long time.
It would depend on a number of different things, such as what materials it is made from (metal, wood?) and even the type of wood that it's made from if it is made from wood. If it's upholstered, is this in good condition as well? It could be anything from about $150-$300, realistically, although each individual chair will have a different value, of course, and it would depend on the age of it. Some particularly well produced rocking chairs can go for in excess of $500, even $800. It will depend on what you've got, really. If you want a more exact amount of what it could be worth, posting a picture of it may help, or alternatively if you were to just take it to an auction house they would be able to give you an approximate value of what it would be worth. Good luck with finding out about it!
