Remove your barrelSince we're talking about a paper towel, run water into the barrel until the paper is saturated - it will provide zero resistanceUse your conventional cleaning tools to push/pull it outFinish cleaning the firearm, reassembleThen sell the rifle, anyone putting duct tape down the barrel of a rifle for any reason shouldn't own a rifle.
