Question:

Wedding chair covers..?

I was just wondering if anybody knows how to make Satin wedding chair covers for folding chairs. i need about 150 of them, and that would cost around 600-700 bucks so, i decided to make them myself, but i dont know where to start, so i was wondering if anyone had the directions or the pattern on how to make them that would help soooo much.

Answer:

I have about 150 chair toppers... all white with a tulle sash on the back and an embroidered rose head on them..I do not know if they would fit your chairs but I am willing to send you one to see...If they work I would be willing to sell them to you very cheap as they are just sitting in a box in my basement..They were never used...Email me and let me know only if you are interested...I could probably post a pic if you would like... Making full length chair covers are costly and a project that is a bit more labor intense if you are a new sewer...But they are not impossible just time consuming....
Have you tried looking at your local fabric/craft store? They should have some kind of pattern for this. My mom has made these. We all worked on them actually together. Then she embroidered them and had tulle in the back. I emailed this question to here because I think she may be able to help better. I know we cut out the shape of an upside down U, put the right sides of the fabric together, sewed along the seam, turned it back out the right way. These were slipcovers for metal chairs that did not fold but they didn't cover the chair from top to bottom in the case that is what you are looking for. They only covered the top half which still looked very nice. I don't know if she still has the ones we made or not, they were for my sister's wedding and I think we had about that amount. Maybe if she still has them you can have them. Hope this helps!

Try looking on OKorder. You may be able to get them cheaper than that.
