What are ceramic braces?

What are ceramic braces?

Answer:

I had ceramic braces. After a month of wear they start to look yellow. Then you go in to have the bands changed and they look good, at first, until they start to yellow again. They don't look like braces. They look like you have horrible teeth. I would go with the metal braces. They look very nice nowadays, not like the metal braces of the past. They come in different colors. Right now my son has blue. Everytime he goes to get the bands changed he can pick a new color.
The brackets that are glued to your teeth are ceramic rather than metal. They are clearish to white. They supposedly look less obvious, but I think it just makes your teeth look lumpy and weird and not worth the extra expense. Besides, if you have to wear they for more than a year or so, they stain to yellowish.
My creak was an axel en route to failing. Had a devil of a time figuring it out and then it revealed itself to me when things went flying!
