Light independent reactions and light dependent reactions. Light dependent reactions take place in the tylakoids of the chloroplast by using H2O and sunlight to produce ATP and NADH. Light independent reactions take place in the stroma of the chloroplast and through the use of CO2 and ATP create sugar and oxygen. Cellular respiration takes place in animal cells to break down sugars to create energy so that does not take part in plants because they produce not consume.
