Question:

what are some cool things to make out of junk?

what are some cool things for my room to make out of junk like:old cans, jeans and stuff like that

Answer:

the possibilities are endless. Do you want something practical? like lamps made out of tins or just build weird sculptures for decorative purposes?
Make a purse from pop can tabs (see link), old jeans, ties, etc. Make a braided rag rug from strips of old clothing, sheets or rags (see link). Melt down stubs of old candles and crayons to make new candles. Or just melt the white candle wax and, before it has cooled in the mold, add chunks of the coloured candles and crayons. You can use old milk cartons or metal cans for molds. You can make a clock out of just about anything--clock works usually start around $8 - $10. Cut up old magazine or newspaper pages to make beads from paper (see link). You can weave a basket from strips of newspaper, copper sheeting, the nylon cording that is tied around newspaper and other bundles. Make a Christmas wreath from wire coat hangers and cut up strips of green or white garbage bags. Use a paper or styrofoam coffee cup to create a Christmas tree with a cut-out window and peek-a-boo scene inside (see link). Use flat slabs of styrofoam for a base to create a scene--traditionally used for Christmas--glue green felt for grass or cotton fluff for snow; glue miniature buildings and people to the base, put a wooden dowel of cardboard tube in the centre for a post; wrap with green garland and white or coloured miniature Christmas tree lights; wrap fishing line continuously around the base and over the centre dowel to form a cone shape around the scene. The fishing line will reflect the lights.
