Answer:

You need to admit that you need help with this horse from someone else or advise the owner to send him to a more experienced trainerYou may have broken in horses before, but at 17 you are no expert and often we find horses that we are not knowledgable enough to deal with ourselves.
tell this lady that she should know that a horse will take atleast a year before he will consider a place home and be completely settled therewith an abused horse it will take far far longer than 6 months to train him, he needs everything in baby steps, even more so than a young horseshe sounds like a very irresponsible person and you shouldnt give up on him, it is huge progress that you have got as far as getting a saddle on an abused horse in sush a short amount of time, she should be pleased with this!
Tell the owner you need more time, and then be patient with the horseEven try something different, like trick trainingThis will develop a bond between you and the horse, and may just Wow the ownersAfter the horse senses you are different from other trainers, it may just respond to youHave you ground driven the horse? That, of course, would require the bridleTrick trainThen, at least the horse might be saleable, showing it does respond.
Don't give upYou still have time, and the horse isn't responding right because he was abused, so he'll take more time than a horse that wasn't abusedBut you still have 2 and a half months left, you can at least get him used to the bridle in that amount of time (and then maybe she'll give you more time) I don't think you've done all you can, you just need to be more patientYou wouldn't have been able to get the saddle on him if he wasn't improvingAsk for more timeYou might be able to get him green-broke in the next 2 months, but is his owner an experienced rider? You could always offer to buy himand then sell him (or give him) to a trainer(I'm afraid the owner will have him slaughtered if he bucks her off)
grains, beans, lentils, raspberries, cooked peas, cooked artichoke, carrots, broccoli, apples (with the skin) hope this helps, mayo clinic online would be the place to look if you cant get the foods listed above
