What are the advantages of stepping motors?
(1) the step distance is not affected by various interference factors. Such as voltage magnitude, current value, waveform, temperature changes, etc..(2) the error is not accumulated for a long time. Stepper motor with each step turn angle and a certain error theory step distance, from one step to any step, there is always a certain cumulative error, but the cumulative error each turn is zero, so the pace of accumulation error is not accumulated down.
Advantages of stepper motor: low output torque, open loop control, cost-effective, only servo 1/4 or so. Disadvantages: large vibration, large heating, high speed performance, and the possibility of losing step. Special drive is required.
(3) control performance is good. Starting, stopping and turning are completed in a small number of pulses. When running in a certain frequency range, no movement will be lost. Therefore, stepper motor is widely used in CNC machine tools.
