What are the high temperature insulation materials?
The most thermal insulation is a variety of cotton fiber insulation, but the temperature is not very high. Alumina polycrystalline fiber cotton, about 1600 degrees, mullite polycrystal, mixed polycrystal, lower temperature. Zirconia material is said to be capable of high temperature because zirconia has a melting point of 2700 degrees, 700 degrees higher than alumina. But it's not used. It's not clear.
If there is atmosphere protection, then graphite is a more powerful material. Melting point 3850 degrees Oh, almost all ultra high temperature kiln, can be protected by atmosphere, all with graphite material.
Followed by a variety of lightweight bricks, alumina hollow ball, lightweight brick is relatively high temperature, about 1600 degrees. The others are low.Then there's the heavy brick. Heavy alumina brick, corundum mullite, can withstand 1750 degrees -1800 degrees. Mullite, cordierite lower lows.
