Magnets, The space shuttle has them on the outside, circuit breakers,people have even made guns out of them. ceramics can withstand extremely high temperatures and do not conduct electricity like metals do we work with a lot of ceramics at my company and deal with many companies that are in the commercial ceramic industry. companies like true mugs bake ceramics at 1400F just to make the colors permanent, mostly they can go to 2400F
