i have a 2002 dodge cummins 5.9. im currently stationed (Air Force) in california but im changing bases here soon. I want to upgrade my exhaust system to a 4 from the turbo back. What are the rules and regulations reguarding what i can and cant do to my exhaust system.
I do not believe the california smog check program includes diesels, or at least not back to 2002 vehicles. But, if you stick with parts that have a carb approved label (California Air Resources Board), you cannot go wrong.
It will only get loud when you floor the gas and go WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. I have a Civic with Short intake and header pipes. When I'm just driving, the car sounds completely stock. But when I floor it, THIS LITTLE MOUSE ROARS !! Good Luck
