do you know that there is 2 grades of stainless steel, Marine grade is good but expensive, try copper
What Ned said, except don't ever, ever paint itMost bottom paints contain copper derivatives, and a copper coating will make for a weird gauss field around your boat- you might greatly increase electrolysis elsewhere.
the best metal piping to be used for a keel cooling system is MONELI have 5 large fishing boats all keel cooled and all are built out of monel In 10 years never a problem !!! good luck
With bridged mode (also called ATM bridge) you have full control over the connectionEssentially it converts the ADSL digital signals from Telkom to a TX/RX signal on an ethernet interfaceYou can then run PPP directly from your PC (over ethernet) to the Telkom exchange and your PC gets the IP address, not the router/modemWhy is this useful? Well, IMHO not very if you run it to only one PC, but if you run it to a PC that can act as a gateway or router, you can add immense functionality to your networkIf you terminate it on a little Linux machine, you can use that as your firewall, as your NAT box, as your inbound port forwarder, and best of all, you can schedule events using cronbut a real drow back would be 24-hour disconnectJust use Linux/FreeBSD as a gateway and set the timeout 0 0 then you don't even notice it here r few links to discussions on whether to use modem in Bridge mode or not mybroadband .za/vb/showthread.php/41951-What-is-Bridge-Mode.
