the hard way to do it is to pull the back seat out and go through the passage way behind it. you could also look into that hole and see if you dont see the linkage, if you do use a screwdriver and turn it. i have done that on a few cars ad, it usually works.
Don't worry..u'll soon learn how to tape them on better..I've been diapered since i was 14..the first days my mother used to check my diaper,until I learnt.now I can change mydelf without amy problem..after a while u'll find it easy enough..just tell her to help you for the first times..
Sounds like you have some mini surgery ahead of you. Use good light and open it over a cloth becasue you know the screws are going to fall and get lost. I guess it's a given that this lens is supposed to focus to infinity and something got jammed. Open her up. See if you can find a lens schematic online.
