I have a fairly old A/C unit in my home. Thanks to my lovely new puppy's curiosity a white tube running from the unit into the house is now broken. It appeared to be a plastic tube about an inch or so in diameter. What is this tube for and what would be the easiest method of repairing it? It is broken clean off and there is now about a 10-14 inch piece missing.
Nothing to worry about..thats a condensation tube for over flow of a little water....it can drain off in the yard...that other answer is crazy about freon mixing with water!!!
That's where water is used to combine with freon which creates air
That is a drain tube that comes off your unit and drains codensation outside. To repair it just cut it off, get a coupling, glue it in one side then however long a piece you need on the other side.
