Question:

What are ways I can fashion a Makiwara for my city apartment?

A few years ago I moved from sunny Florida, with a yard, and now reside in a dense city in a tiny apartment. The issue I am facing, is that I can't seem to find a close enough place where I can go to work on the makiwara, and as I mentioned I only have an apartment, no yard.I don't want to hit the punching bag because I prefer the makiwara, but have toyed with the idea. I bought the P90X pull-up bar that wedges into the door frame, to avoid making any unnecessary holes, and thought about hanging a bag from that. I've seen it done before so I know the bar can handle it.I've spent a week or so browsing the web for ideas of mounting a makiwara indoors, but most of them are for permanent 'house' mounting. Do you have any ideas of how I could fashion one that is essentially portable, and I can move around as a Makiwara in the ground?

Answer:

This is to prevent unwanted programs from starting, like spyware. It is a serious protection against ant security loopholes in the system. If you turn this off it can leave you open to attack.
Yes, GE Security bought Edwards Systems Technology (EST) about three years ago. EST is now one of GE's fire alarm product lines.
