Answer:

Smelting and rolling silicon steel is mainly smelted by oxygen converter (also can be smelted by electric arc furnace), in combination with molten steel vacuum treatment and AOD Technology (see outside refining), and die casting or continuous casting method is adopted. According to different uses, smelting, change the silicon (0.5 ~ 4.5%) and aluminum (0.2 ~ 0.5%) content, in order to meet the requirements of different magnetic. The silicon and aluminum content of high grade silicon steel sheets increase accordingly. Reduce carbon, sulfur and inclusions as much as possible.
The 3%si oriented silicon steel sheet is placed on the middle part of the core thickness of the laminated iron core, and the iron core stacked on both sides of the silicon steel sheet is 6.5%si silicon steel sheet, and the iron core is formed together. And the ratio of the silicon steel sheet of 6.5%si in the cross section of the core of the iron core is larger than that of the yoke.
The magnetic properties, surface quality, filling coefficient and punching properties of cold-rolled silicon steel sheets are better than those of hot rolled silicon steel sheets, and they can be produced in coils. So some countries have stopped producing hot-rolled silicon steel sheets since 60s. In China, hot rolled silicon steel sheet has been made by adopting a method of annealing at low temperature of 900 DEG C at one time, and under the protection of hydrogen. The quality of finished products is higher, and the surface quality and magnetic properties of finished products are better.
