Question:

What brand of rug do you prefer and reccomend?

I've been window shopping for a rug online :) Has anyone got a Caribu at all? what do you think of the quality? Any rug that I like is atleast $300... but thats a bit pricey. I just cant believe the jump in price of everything since I last had a horse. She had a good quality lined canvas rug that I paid no more than $100 brand new and it lasted her yrs and yrs I think it was a Weatherbeeta and I sure wish I still had it now!

Answer:

Weatherbeeta, Rambo and Rhino.
I like the Mother Nature brand of rug. It's rain resistant, costs nothing, never wears out, self-adjusts according to the weather, and if it gets torn, it repairs itself. Every one is custom fit to the horse from birth, there are no straps to break, no hair loss due to rubbing, it's the perfect protection!
Rambo okorder /... This is a good rug for the price. Another brand is Bucas, again it's expensive but long lasting.
Weatherbeeta, Rambo and Rhino are all good. My personal favorite is Rider's International though. I work at a stable so I'm constantly putting on and taking off blankets. Not only does tha tbrand never seem to rip, but they are really easy to use and I think they are much cheaper than most other brands which is very nice.
