Question:

what causes light?

I just wanna know what cause light.no dumb answers answers becuz u must be dumb.thanx

Answer:

energy, light is energy, so in order to get light, you must convert the energy of another kind to light energy. For example, a flash light uses electric energy, and then converts it into light energy. Energy can not be made by humans or destroyed, you can only convert it into another kind of energy.
Adding on to Beanies answer.......that energy emitted is called a photon (light energy) To get color, those photons bounce off of an object and then into your eye. Depending on the makeup of the object it will eith absorb or reflect certain wavelenghts of energy. For instance, a black object absorbs ALL wavelengths of photons so you see black and a white object reflects ALL wavelengths of photons.
Your attitude is exceedingly poor,... if you ask for ones help,... do not sound condecending to them or anyone else. aside from that. Light is caused when an electron in an elevated orbital state drops back to its original stable orbit,... the wavelength of the light released is based on the difference in energy the elecron lost during the orbital drop.
The sun is the ultimate cause of all our energy and light. There are billions of solar systems, but at a far enough distance from a solar system the universe is ice cold and pitch dark.
It depends on what kind of light you are referring to. Natural light comes from the energy of the sun. Artificial light comes from electricity, laser energy etc...
