Here Also you might want to see if you can borrow a couple different bits from friends and other people at your barn to try them out. Different horses prefer different types, and it could save you from spending money on a bit that ends up not working for you.
hi, what it sounds like, is you need this stuff called ONE TIME. you can find it at most hardware stores.its easy to use and drys fast so you can paint over it in about 20 min.now if your cracks are large and deep then you my need a drywall finisher to tape them and coat them.or if it's a lot of what i call spider web cracking then try priming all the wall area withBULLS EYE 123 this has a good bonding agent in it that will help your color coat to go on and adhere well so that cracking don't come back.it will also help to use a top coat paint that is of good quality.i like valspar paints.i would NOT try to strip the paint.good luck.

It would help to know why you need to change to a bit. If he is going well in the mild mechanical hackamore, then why not keep him in it? It is milder than any of the bits you are considering, and if you change the curb chain to a leather curb strap, it will be that much more mild. Unless there is good reason the change to a bit, i would stay with what you have.
