Question:

what consists of a full exhaust system?

for a 06 subaru wrx.is it the tailpipe where it comes out, then the mid-pipe which is the piece behind that, then is it the downpipe next? and then up-pipe, then headers

Answer:

A full exhaust system usuall consists of everything downstream od teh exhaust ports on the cylinder heads. The Subaru boxer engine has two cylinder heads. The headers connect to each head and are joined just before the catalytic converter. Then the exhaust pipe connects the cat converter to the muffler. You might include the hangers the suspent these parts from the body and any special exhaust tips on the muffler.
I've never had any use for Harley-Davidson but my owners manual is quoted, WARNING: Improper adjustment of the steering head (e.g. too tight) will make the motorcycle very difficult to steer. This adjustment is critical for proper handling of all models. Manual also said, The steering head bearings must be adjusted periodically to avoid . steering instability. When properly adjusted, the front fork should turn with just a hint of bearing drag, but without free play or obvious resistance to turning. Could this apply to your husband's problem?
Yes, smack him in the back of the head next time it happens, bet it only on left hand turns, kickstand left down will pop the bike straight up and down from a lean and the kickstand goes up so you don't know what it was, belive me it's exciting isn't it? I ran up a driveway down a side walk down another driveway and back out into the street at 65mph when it happened to me ONCE.
Header, exhaust pipe cat converter, muffler and tail pipe
First suspect would be the bearings in the front forks. Next would be something like cables or windshield brackets interfering with free movement of the handlebars. You need to get this bike to a dealer and get it repaired before you become a widow.
