That's not true. EDIT: Yeah, like that guy said; Mayhem and Gorgoroth have had some gory shows. GG Allin, Silencer, Mayhem etc have been known for the performers self harming on stage, but no actually deaths. And they're not death metal. *Norway is better know for a black metal scene than death metal. EDIT: Christ, it's not legit. You did not see it happen. It did not happen. Probably not death metal, death metal is about goriness. I think you're talking about black metal, which is about occultism. Bands like Mayhem, Gorgoroth and Carpathian Forest have had quite disturbing 'sacrifices' live on stage.
Not true at all. That would be illegal. I think Gorgoroth or Mayhem had goat heads impaled on poles at a concert once, but that's about extreme as it got. And that was black metal, not death metal. There is very little correlation between death metal and satanism.
There is none that I no of, however my favorite black metal band gorgoroth has a controversial live performance of them in krakow poland with sheeps head on stakes, naked live models on crucifixes, and eighty liters of sheeps blood all around the stage. As far as death metal there are none that stage sacrifices, slayer is the closest thing I can think of except theyre a thrash metal band
Your friend is a goddamn idiot. The closest there has been to this is Dead putting pig heads on wooden pikes, cutting himself, and throwing rotting meat into the crowd at shows. Gorgoroth have also thrown goat heads around.
