Question:

what do i do if my scaffolding piercing goes infected?

its come out with a whitey liquid only a little bit but not alot, how can i stop it?

Answer:

its normal. just clean it regularly with sea salt, wound wash (shouldnt contain alcohol) and anti-bacterial soap :) discharge is normal in new piercings :)
Well I certainly wouldn't let people climb on the scaffolding if it has problems, they might fall off and injure themselves and sue you. And nobody wasnts to be sued.
take it out and you need to disinfect the area. allow ur wood to heal. and REPeirce somewhere else I find Location is very important with piercing, and hygiene is another factor as far as infection goes and how u care for your piercein as its healing applying peroide , alcohol , turning the piercing as you cleaning them daily as they heal should prevent infection or you can go to the doctors and see if you gives you an antibiotic if you decide to keep it in Either way I hope this was a lil helpful to you JAckie T BKLYN NY
Do NOT EVER use hydrogen peroxide on a piercing!!! If it is a fairly new piercing I wouldn't worry too much... just clean it often. If you have had it for a while I would look into antibiotics.
White discharge is completely normal with unhealed piercings. You need to either be doing sea salt soaks or saline soaks to keep it clean - twice a day for ten minutes each soak. Don't use anything but that - soaps can cause build up around the piercing. Signs of infection to look out for are excessive redness extending beyond the piercing area (some redness is normal when it is healing), hot to the touch, and yellow/green pus with an odor. If it does get infected do not take it out. That can trap the infection in your body and really do some harm...with infection you just want to keep doing sea salt soaks and if it doesn't clear up within a week or two then you'd want to go to your piercer who might recommend you go to a doctor. It's not always necessary to spend the money on going to the doctor with a piercing infection.
