what do I use to get black soot off of a brick fireplace ???
Uh the light rays that travel threw the air balance back to produce the opposite of white light aka color.
I'm not a alarm specialist, but a state cert mechanic. Do you want to disconnect it completely or repair the problem?
Cut the pipe off with a pipe cutter. Then, you can use a sharkbite cap to cap it off until you can repair it properly. Pipe cutter and cap are likely to be found at just about any hardware store, and would probably cost less than $20 total. Sharkbite is not the only option, but they are very easy to use if you have no experience with plumbing. Stephen: You are correct that sharkbite fittings do not fit galv pipe, but the asker specified that it was a copper pipe.
