Do you intend yo jack it up using a jack or perhaps a fork lift truck? The underside of most cars are surprisingly vulnerable. You can crush vital brake and fuel lines you could even weaken the floor pan panels. So really a flt is not a very good option. But you could jack it up corner by corner pack it up with pallets and let all the wheels dangle. But really it`s not the best of ideas. What about burying it in a stack of other pallets placed on all sides?
Glasgow as in Scotland? Cool. Im in Dallas, Texas But back to your pallets. Check your local newspaper, they generally get newspaper rolls on pallets and they usually just give them away. After that, check with furniture stores, machine shops, factories, etc., they all usually have pallets that they throw away. After that, sometimes rehabilitation places, where they work with disabled people, make pallets, at least they do here in the states.

Unless the car is very small and light the pallets won't hold up under the weight of the vehicle.
