Question:

What do refurbished Pallets / Skids sell for ?

I'm currently thinking about making Skids / Pallets In my spare time to make some extra cash, I have a lot of wood that can be worked with, just want to know some details so I can decide if its worth it. Thanks for any Answers.

Answer:

I had that, I hardly ate anything for 2 weeks because it would get stuck at the top. Right now his mouth is really sore and feels really small because he has a big appliance in it. Within about 3-4 weeks he will have learned how to eat and will be eating solid/normal meals. It shouldn't take 10 months for it to expand, mine worked in about 2 or 3 months. But to each their own! When you go to the grocery store look for soft foods like apple sauce, pudding, yogurt, soft fruit, ice cream, and sherbet. If you have a blender you could make him smoothies as well. Eventually he will be eating normal and wont even notice it. Good luck!
I had a pallet expander when I was about 13 and experienced some of the same things. The sour taste will eventually go away (probably by tomorrow if not today). Also food does generally get stuck between the expander and the roof of your mouth, but you learn how get it out without having to use any extra tools. If you cannot get it out yourself rinsing with water or using a water pick does the trick. Since the expander does push against your teeth being sore is understandable and some days may hurt more than others. But definitely a liquid diet is not necessary. Good luck, it will be worth it!
Kelly D and Nick were both right. I had a pallet expander when I was 14 and had the same problems. The bad taste will go away probably tomorrow. I got food stuck up there every time I ate (although the longer I had it, the more I got used to trying to keep the food from going up into the retainer). Just teach him how to use (they probably gave you this) a little pic with bristles on it to get the food out of the expander. He'll get used to it before long and should be fine. It'll be worth it in the long run. Good luck!
