I really want to make a good movie without the normal shakes and bumps of a camera, but I might be following an actor at a fast pace with the cameraI remember hearing the name of the equipment used, but I've forgotten :)Does anyone know what they use?
There are a couple of ways - it depends how far and how fastIt also depends on the surface/floor1) A vehicle works greatEither a pick-up truck with the camera on a tripodor a minivan with the side door open and the camera pointing out the side2) A wheelchair with someone pushing the wheelchair while someone else holds the camera - usually with a shoulder-mount systemThe floor needs to be pretty smooth3) A dolly-track systemThe dolly rides on the track railsAny bumps in the floor will be leveled by the track system4) A hand truck with inflatable wheels - and the wheels are not fully inflated to ride out little bumps5) A camera craneNeed lots of room6) A SteadyCam - GlideCam - VariCam system - can be handheld only or a vest with a counter-balanced and articulated armIt depends on your budget and the shot requirements.
